Not exactly what I expected for participating in my first race but it was a good time. I expected to perform much better than I actually did, but seeing as how I'm training mostly on the treadmill I can understand why this race seemed a little more difficult than I anticipated. Reason #1: Hills (one too many). Reason #2: Cold (a little different than the basement gym). It was a great experience though and I'm excited for the 10K in March. I was able to see some friends from way back when as well (Rachel Carlruh Francom, Sherrie Jensen, Brian Reardon, and Debbie Farka). My finish time was 29:19. I was hoping for something much better seeing as how I usually wrap up my 3 miles on the treadmill under 28 minutes. I guess there is always next year.

Good job on your 5K! I hate hills too, they can tear you down so quickly! I think you should be proud of your time, even if it wasn't what you were expecting. I can't wait to hear how your other races go. Keep on truckin' big bro!
