Earlier this week I asked Alyssa if she was interested in practicing riding her bike sans training wheels. She wasn't interested at all, in fact she was in tears that I couldn't make the time to reattach her training wheels. I was able to convince her to practice by telling her that I would not let her fall on her bike; I placed Peter on her bike and rode him around on it showing her how easy it would be. That was all it took. She rode like a champ that evening with some of my help. I came home the next morning to see her going solo round and round our cul-de-sac. Way to go babe!

Holy smokes!! Alyssa!!! Riding a bike with no training wheels before starting kindergarten is a HUGE deal!!! I need to call to congratulate her myself! Or maybe I should congratulate the smart Daddy who put Peter on the bike first to build trust. Very clever!
What and exciting day, she is getting so big.
