Hunters and Gatherers

I like to tell my kids that Easter was cancelled for me and my sisters when we were small because of the Easter that we tore into all of our Easter baskets and made a mess of the house before my parents woke up. Since then I haven't participated in an Easter egg hunt that wasn't more or less organized or sponsored by someone else, until the Easter of 2015. We hid 67 eggs, and the kids spotted 62 of them on individual conquests for candy in no time flat. After taking a small break, we sent them back out as a team to discover the remaining 5. They came back with four more. I went out to see if I could find the one missing egg. No luck. Either we have a lonely Easter egg hidden somewhere in the yard, or somebody counted incorrectly. Either way, we had a delightful Easter.
