- Do all the stuff on your chore list you have been putting off (not my favorite idea, but it may be super satisfying to get your crap done)
- Create some leap year predictions/goals. Where do you want to be and what do you want to be doing in 4 years. Revisit your list the following leap year.
- Let's be honest. People with leap year birthdays should get serious discounts on this day. Start with free meals or desserts.
- Why aren't there crazy car sales on Feb. 29th? A one day sale with a special 4-year loan option. It'd be a great way for a dealerships to end their sales month with a sales boost.
- Why are offices open on Feb. 29th. We should really all get the day off.
- Leap year family traditions should be huge. Make this the one day you eat candy all day, take a break from New Year's resolutions, or take the family to that special restaurant for breakfast.
- Make February 29th the day you choose to learn a new skill. Something you've been dying to do: take a cooking class, oil painting, dance lessons, etc...
- Take the time to make someone else's day. Pull out all the stops. Acts of kindness, service, letters, gift giving... Choose to make it anonymous if you like.
- Go shopaholic crazy, spend the night on the town, and return your purchases on March 1st.
- Choose that series that everyone has been talking about on Netflix and binge all day. Put together a food spread that would outshine any Super Bowl party.
Whether you decide to be lazy, be social, be productive, be thoughtful, or be crazy, just make it amazingly memorable. Hopefully it's a leap forward kind of memory.
Enjoy your extra day!
