String Quartet

Who in their right mind takes their 3 small children to a 2 hour string quartet concert on a Sunday afternoon in a reverent Catholic church? I don't know what we were thinking, but we did, and my kids hit 3 home runs with their reverence. I was so proud of them. Their reward for such good behavior was to skip out of the last few movements of the concert and play in the beautiful spring weather in the church courtyard and to be able to meet one of the violinists in the quartet. Libby Nielson is a good friend of mine who staged a brief show and tell for the kids after the concert in the lobby. The music was marvelous and the afternoon turned out to be one to remember.
