One of the fun things about working with creative agencies either on the client side or the agency side is that you get to know about the advertising they are working on prior to it going live in the media. On a few occasions I've been volunteered or I've accepted invitations to participate. This isn't the most glamorous of ways to express one's self creatively, but it is fun to be a part of the action and it never hurts to get an extra pay check. Part of me wonders why I don't do this more since I quite enjoy working in front of the camera or behind a microphone. Perhaps one day, it'll make more sense to spend time in this area and possibly seek out opportunity. For now, I'll be satisfied with what comes to me without asking.
