It wasn't long before the kids got their hands on some powder once the snow started falling this week. As a kid, it's a magical thing to see the first snowfall. I realize I could let myself feel that magic a little more as well, but I guess that feeling is overshadowed by the thoughts of shoveling snow, winterizing the car, bad roads, and the cold. Despite all of the things I have against winter time, I also have a list of things that I love about this time of year. The list begins with seeing your children's faces as they marvel at the snowfall, it ends with them volunteering to come inside from the cold only after a few minutes of being subject to the temperature. I think we've been away from Utah for too long because when we were there for Thanksgiving, it was FREEZING! I'm not used to that. I would love for Sebastian to be able to play in the snow though. Maybe if Brandon ever gets a Utah job we'll get the chance.
