Happy Homecoming

A happy homecoming indeed. I usually make it a point to visit the Alma mater this time of year to take in a football game. Every couple years we'll make it to the Homecoming dance. We took the timeout to do so this year and I'm very glad we did. We started by going to a casual student government reunion prior to the dance where we got to touch base with some old and new friends. First of all I was amazed at the new Shepherd Union Building. It is completely remodeled now and unrecognizable in a good way. The new place is incredible and completely up to date. Every now again one can see details from the old Union building still in place; a strange juxtaposition of old and new. The improvements make my college days seem that much further behind me. I felt doubly surprised, and flattered to say the least, that my contributions at the University were still remembered by those I worked with and some of those that followed me. It makes me proud to be a wildcat and to bleed purple. The dance, well, the dance was pretty lame on account of the music selection. We much more enjoyed the music that was being played in the WSU bowling alley for the 10 frames we fit in after leaving the dance early. Weber State, Weber State, Great! Great! Great!

You actually bleed purple? That's so cool.
