I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is pressed
Against the sweet earth's flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately live with rain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.
Joyce Kilmer (1886-1918)
With great excitement we welcome our six new trees to our yard. They play an integral part in our 20 year landscaping plan. We'll check that 'to-do' off our list, and cross our fingers that we choose the perfect places to plant each of them.

20 year plan, eh? That's a big commitment. You're playing your part in going green. Now just buy a hybrid and you're set!
I still have yet to make a commitment on trees. So far, the only ones we have are the cottonwood sprouts that blew over from the neighbor's yard. I need to dig them up before they get too big.
So, congrats on planting trees. Someday, I'll get around to it....
