Drawing in Church

One of my favorite things to do since childhood has been drawing in church.  Once that sacrament was passed I'd get the green light from my mom to exercise my reverence through sketching.  I thought that pocket on your leather scripture case was just for toting around enough paper for sketching.  As seen in the example above, I just can't give it up.  I find it harder now days to actually get anything drawn seeing as how sacrament meeting can often equal child wrestling.  My choir calling has changed that a little.  Recently I had a large block of time sitting in the choir loft during conference to sketch out some faces. Some likenesses turned out okay, my challenge is to jot down enough of the key features before the speaker's talk is over; not only that, but to do so in very poor lighting during conference sessions.

Nice work! I remember when you guys came to church with me in England and you sketched me during my talk. You are very talented, my friend!

I love the sketches. I loved them when you were younger too. Best way in the world to keep you reverent. Now, the question comes - did you get anything out of the meeting? AND what was your favorite part of conference?

I've always thought you were an amazing artist! I still love the pictures you drew of you four singing on the back of the choir room wall at NHS!!!
