Gift giving for birthdays can be on the extremely practical side. Take for instance our new griddle or toilet paper holder; not really things that are on the wish list, but they can make you happy on your birthday. The Mrs. loves her new griddle and that I spelled her age out in make believe bacon with a card underneath dedicated to my 'sizzling hot wife'. The toilet paper roll even got a smile; two in fact. The first was for the birthday wishes on the toilet paper roll. The second came an hour or so later when the new roll holder was recognized as being new. I'm feel that I'm on the lame gift giver side of the fence, but could I make a case for style points in the giving?
