A few weeks ago when we celebrated our little boy's birthday we decided it would be a good idea to make cup cakes for our birthday celebrations. By doing so, we'd have enough cup cake goodness to enjoy for our birthday celebration and we could easily give the other cup cakes away to friends and neighbors much easier than a large baked cake. We found this was a great way to have a treat in the house and to also be able to quickly get rid of it as to not over indulge ourselves. I also liked the fact that our kids really liked visiting the neighbors with cupcakes to share; the neighbors seem to like it too. So we've gone cupcake crazy. We don't just make cupcakes, but we like to go the extra mile with them. So far we've had candy corn sunshine cakes, owl cakes, and bacon cupcakes. Yes, bacon. Real bacon. They were delicious.
