Today's results are making me feel a little slow, but as I look at the number of people that didn't finish the race I feel a little better. I also have to remember that if I was doing this for speed I'd probably have a different approach. My goal for each of these races is to finish, and specifically for this race to not stop and walk. I accomplished both. I clocked in at 1:48:40. I didn't feel like I was at the end of the pack, but the results only show 12 men finishing behind me. Oh well. It was a great morning for a run and we successfully avoided any bad weather. I was able to touch base with friends after the race and fill up on gateraid and treats. Reminds me of the good old days sipping my Capri-Sun and eating a Ding-Dong after my AYSO soccer game.

I used to be so jealous of the treats you would bring home after soccer. That's actually why I signed up, for the treats. After one unsuccessful season, I quit.
Good job on your run anyway! I'm proud of you! What day is your marathon?
