The weather is warming up and rather do my running on the treadmill I'm more often heading outside for the fresh air and the long distances. As I make this transition though I've reflected on the many movies that I've watched as I've ran over 400 miles on Mr. Treadmill. Kudos to the films and music that have helped me keep me motivated while I've been running. Here are the winners of the 2008 Treadmill Awards:
Best Movie or Series
Gold: 16 blocks. Great story and action. Loved Mos Def.
Silver: 24 Seasons 1, 2, & 3. Perfect mix of action and suspense. Episodes just the right length.
Bronze: The Office Seasons 1,2, & 3. Episode length good to sneak in two per workout.
Honorable Mention: The Bourne Ultimatum
Best Actor: Bruce Willis
Best Actress: Jenna Fischer
Honorable Mention: Matt Damon
Worst Actor: tie between Ricky Schroeder and Sean Astin in 24
Worst Movie or Series Awards: Anything without English subtitles (I can't hear movies over the sound of the treadmill churning so I had to read all of the lines), Gone in 60 seconds (white trash), Lord of the Rings (too long, boring).
Best Song
Gold: Mas Que Nada - Black Eyed Peas
Silver: Crazy Horses - The Osmonds
Bronze: Black Mambo - Angel and the Mambokats
Honorable Mention: Please, Please, Please - Dream Academy, Over the Rainbow - Israel Kamakawimwo'ole, I am Superman - R.E.M., You're the Best - Karate Kid Soundtrack
Best Album:
Gold: Breakaway - Kelly Clarkston (the hardest rock that I've got on my ipod)
Silver: Ferris Bueller's Day Off Soundtrack
Bronze: It's Time - Michael Buble
Honorable Mention: Michael Jackson's #1 hits
Worst songs to run to awards: Crash - Dave Matthews, Bad Day - Daniel Powder, Hymns - Michael Dowdle, Lazy Lover - Brazillian Girls, The Somewhere in Time Theme, and all Karaoke tracks

I love the insight you share! I agree with you on the subtitles thing. It's the only way to go when you're on a TM. It's funny for me to see that you like Black Eyed Peas and Kelly Clarkson. Great awards!
