1:48:40 was my 2008 time for the 10 mile race. I remember feeling a little discouraged finishing this one last year. I felt incredibly slow seeing as how only 12 men finished behind me. This year however is different. I'm not feeling like the Flash by any means, but my time was over 6 minutes better than last year. 1:42:27.8 was my time on Saturday and I finished in front of 32 other men. Something was different for me with this race, especially seeing as how I didn't enjoy the 10K very much. I found myself really enjoying this challenge, as well as setting out to pass people in front of me one by one. One day later I'm feeling pretty good as well. The right knee is a bit sore, but all and all I'm feeling fantastic. Becky has been reading up on walk/running strategies quite a bit and though I'm not totally converted yet, I can definitely see the advantages. Many a folk were walk/running in the bunch that I finished with as well as many that finished before me. I think I'll give it a try for the next couple weeks and see what I think.

Makes me wish I had signed up again for the Winter circuit. I signed up for the marathon, and haven't really been training at all.
Maybe I'll do that last two races.
Good job beating your time! That always feels good.
