With Special Guest David Archuleta

So I'm at rehearsal and of course American Idol, and Murray Utah's own David Archuleta shows up with his entourage. Why not? We're in Utah right? I guess his tour is passing through his own neighborhood right now. His posse was composed of family, friends, band members, and an accompanist. Not that I was star struck or anything, but I definitely lost a bit of my rehearsal focus--as did most choir members--as the visiting crew all filed in. They seemed to be a real cool bunch. Thrilled to be in the midst of the Tab Choir. We were in turn thrilled to be in their midst as well, as evidenced by many folks snapping pics with their camera phones. I didn't feel the need to try and get my own photo of the scene, camera phones take the worst pictures anyway. I would however have liked to record the song David shared with us. He got up casually and walked to the front of the stage, faced the choir, said a few things, waved to some friends, said he was nervous, and sang a hymn straight from the hymnal. Be Still My Soul. Awesome.
