What do a butterfly princess, a turtle, and a beatnik have in common? Nothing. Yet they all emerged at our house this October as Halloween costumes for a short evening of trick or treating. Someday the kids will realize what all the fuss is about. All I wanted to hear from Alyssa was a boisterous "trick-or-treat", or at least a "thank you" once she received her candy... Maybe next year I can expect that. We did go to the extra scary house in our neighborhood though, and amazingly Alyssa made it without tears. Anna still has no idea why we got all dressed up that night, she just loves to put on her turtle costume any chance she gets.Tuesday, November 13, 2007
