This Thanksgiving I've taken the time to ponder what giving thanks means to me and how I demonstrate the gratitude that I have. Giving thanks is ultimately an action. It can be expressed by saying “thank you,” it can be given in the form of a card; accompanied by kind thoughts or small acts of service. It is cleaning the dishes after a meal, it’s returning the car with a full tank, even carrying on family traditions. It is giving back what you’ve been given. Acts. Thankful people base their lives around these acts; thus making thanksgiving a lifestyle rather than an event. Giving thanks begins with remembering. Remembering from whence blessings come. If I wish to have a thankful heart,
Remembering is where to start.
And from the memory will begin,
Acts of love born from within.

I like that you said that even carrying on family traditions is a way to express a thankful heart. What's your favorite family tradition?
YEAH! A new blog to keep me busy when I should be taking care of my child. :)
