The Blessing and Curse of Napoleon

I'm probably one of the few who look at a movie like Napoleon Dynamite and try to find some deeper meaning and analyze Jared Hess's form of storytelling. I enjoyed the movie as did many, and often times hope to find the type of friends that will put themselves on the line for me as did Napoleon for his friend Pedro. This was the breakthrough role for Jon Heder as Napoleon Dynamite. Kudos to him for putting together such a memorable performance with even more memorable one-liners. The challenge for Heder however is his post Napoleon acting career. I expect him to turn into Napoleon everytime he's on screen. Mamma's Boy, the movie I turned off a week or so ago starring Heder with Diane Keaton didn't help. What will it take for him to be more than that kid from Napolean Dynamite? A couple serious roles and a few less appearances in the tighty whities might be a start.
